Education Programs

Here at Heeling Souls we offer two types of Education Programs. One is directed at community members and provides information on what a Service Dog is, what they can do and how to interact with one.

The second is directed at businesses in the community and covers the legal rights a business has. It also covers the rights the Service Dog handler have in regards to access to public spaces.

Community Education

We host free workshops for schools, community events and non-for profit organizations. These workshops are typically 30 minutes long with 10- 15 minutes at the end for questions. We cover many topics around working dogs including the difference between a service dog and a therapy dog. For more information on the workshop layout and what we cover, email us.  The workshop includes live demonstration of our service dogs working for our trainers. We also include a visit from our Program therapy dog who loves to give lots of hugs and kisses.

Business Education

We offer educational workshops to businesses looking to learn more on service dogs. We cover the businesses rights including what questions they are allowed to ask and when they are allowed to ask a service dog to leave. We talk about how a business can become more accessible to service dog handlers. Workshops are hosted by our head trainer and volunteers. For further information and workshop layout please email us.
